Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
Nia Voice (“Nia”, “we”, “us”) is a voice AI platform built and operated by NAS Labs. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our dashboard, API, or live voice product, and how it's handled.
1. What we collect
- Account data — name, email, and workspace details when you sign up or are invited.
- API usage data — which endpoints you call, call duration, token counts, and status codes, used for billing and rate limiting.
- Audio and text you send us — speech, transcripts, and text submitted to our speech-to-text, text-to-speech, translation, dubbing, or live voice endpoints, solely to produce the response you requested.
- Voice clones and personas — reference audio and persona configuration you explicitly create and save in your workspace.
- Billing data — handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
2. How we use it
We use your data to operate the API and dashboard, process your requests, meter and bill usage against your plan, secure your account, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data, and we do not use customer audio or transcripts to train models without your explicit opt-in.
3. Live voice calls
Live voice calls are processed in real time by our pipeline (speech recognition, the configured brain, and speech synthesis) to generate a response. Call audio is not stored by default. Call metadata (duration, language, and — where applicable — token counts) is retained for billing and analytics. If you bring your own LLM brain, the text of the conversation is sent to the endpoint you configured, under your control.
4. Website analytics and cookies
We measure how people find and use niavoices.com with our own first-party analytics — no advertising networks or third-party trackers. For each page view we record the page, the site that referred you, any campaign tags in the link, your approximate country and city (looked up from your IP address, which is then discarded and never stored), and your device type, browser and operating system (derived from your browser's user agent, which is also not stored).
- Without consent (or if your browser sends Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control), we set no cookie. Visits are counted with an anonymous identifier that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you or linked across days.
- If you accept the cookie banner, we set one first-party cookie (
nia_vid, a random identifier, kept for up to 13 months) so we can tell which source led to a signup or purchase. A second cookie (nia_consent) remembers your choice.
Raw page-view records are deleted after 13 months. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the nia_consent cookie for niavoices.com, which brings the banner back.
The “Talk to Nia” assistant on our website. When you chat with or call the assistant on niavoices.com, we save the conversation — what you typed or said (as a transcript, never the audio), Nia's replies, the language, response times and any errors — together with the same approximate location, device and visit details described above. Our staff use it to answer questions better and fix problems. Please don't share sensitive personal information there. These conversations are deleted after 12 months, and you can ask us to delete yours sooner. This applies only to the website assistant: calls made through the Nia Voice API by our customers are not stored this way (see section 3).
5. Retention
Account and billing records are kept for as long as your workspace is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to meet legal and accounting obligations. Transcript logging used for debugging can be disabled at the infrastructure level; redacted diagnostic logs (timing, errors) are kept regardless, since they contain no conversation content.
6. Sub-processors
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run Nia Voice — including our hosting and GPU compute providers, Stripe for billing, and (only if you enable bring-your-own-brain) the LLM endpoint you configure. We do not share your data with anyone else except as required by law.
7. Your rights
You can request a copy of your account data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your workspace removes your saved personas, voice clones, and API keys.
8. Security
API keys are shown once and stored hashed. Realtime voice sessions use short-lived, signed tokens rather than long-lived credentials. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) for every API and dashboard connection.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change and update the “last updated” date above. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated directly to workspace owners.
10. Contact
